In May 2017, leading reusable packaging support services provider, Packaging Services Europe Ltd (PSE), confirmed a substantial investment in a 30,000 sq ft site in Leeds as part of its commitment to providing nationwide coverage for its wash, inspect and repair services.

The development, near Gelderd Road, Leeds, initially created 10 new jobs. Just over 12 months after the business launched, Leeds is the fourth site to go live in PSE’s network, following on from Nuneaton, Belfast and Dublin.

PSE has enjoyed strong and consistent growth since its launch in 2016. Established by Jane Gorick, formerly of CHEP and LPR, and Andrew Parkinson, co-founder of CEL (Customate Europe Ltd) and Numafa Cleaning & Automation UK, PSE provides a tailored packaging wash, inspect and repair service for reusable pallets and crates.

Working across a variety of industries, PSE provides its innovative returnable transit packaging and pallet services  to businesses in sectors including FMCG, automotive, engineering and retail.

Jane Gorick, co-founder at PSE, said: “We promised our customers when we launched that we would deliver, quickly, a comprehensive network of wash and repair facilities. Therefore, we are thrilled to confirm the investment in Leeds which will allow us to expand the scale of our pallet services.”

“PSE Leeds is a similar size to Nuneaton which means that the network has capacity to take on much more business, particularly relevant at a time of significant growth and development for PSE. Its strategic location means we can further support asset utilisation and product lifespan solutions.”
